MEASUREMENTS
Regardless of the size of your project, to start it right, you need accurate measurements of the space. The kitchen is a complex and dynamic space, with many spatial and technical variables, where even a seemingly small discrepancy can throw off the whole layout. It’s crucial that the measurements are taken after the plumbing and electrical components are roughed in and the drywall is up.

A MODUS representative comes to measure and record the space. You get a drawing which you can use to plan the space on your own or you can hire someone to help you out. Head out to our contact page to book a measurement service. If you live outside our service areas, just get in touch and we’ll find the best solution.
IN-HOME IKEA KITCHEN PLANNING
If you’re looking for an IKEA kitchen but need help to make it perfect, look no further. We’ve been planning IKEA kitchens for more than 20 years. With you. In your home. Together, we have completed about 8,000 IKEA layouts. We believe it’s best to plan your kitchen in your home and not off site. We like to experience and inhabit the space before we start planning it. This is because daylight, the positioning of furniture and the distance between pieces play an important role in the way your kitchen will look and feel.

When a MODUS representative visits your home, we’ll have up to 3 hours to measure and create a detailed plan of your IKEA kitchen. At the end of the session, you’ll be given the necessary IKEA cabinet purchase paperwork that you can take back to IKEA and make your purchase. If you live outside our service areas, just get in touch and we’ll find the best solution.
IKEA KITCHEN INSTALLATIONS
Since we founded MODUS in 1998, we have installed over 40,000 IKEA kitchens. This means we can practically do it with our eyes closed. But don’t worry, we’ll keep them wide open for your project. We know that nobody likes having their home look like a construction site. That’s why our mission is to complete all IKEA kitchen cabinet installations in a single day.

We’ll knock on your door at 9 AM. Depending on the job that needs to be done, you might see between 2 and 10 installers on site. We’ll install your kitchen cabinets in a single day so you can move on with your project (and your life) as soon as possible.

HOME RENOVATIONS
Whether you’re revamping a space to make it more comfortable, more functional or simply more beautiful, we do it all – from simple makeovers to large-scale projects and house additions.

A MODUS representative visits you in your home or office to talk about your ideas and goals of the renovation. We’ll measure the space and discuss your needs and wishes. We’ll then consider any possible limitations, explore viable options, define a timeline and make an action plan. The next steps is for our licensed trades to visit the site and assess the required work. We’ll then calculate an estimated cost for the project and send it to you together with the measurement sheet.
INTERIOR DESIGN AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Anyone who’s ever done any kind of home renovation knows that it’s a full-time job. It’s difficult to have everything under control when you have other things to do. In MODUS, we provide professional interior design and project management service for projects of all sizes, where our team of experts oversee the entire project – from the first sketches to execution.

We’ll meet you for an initial on-site consult to learn more about the project and get an idea of what you’d like to achieve. If we click, we’ll go on to discuss the budget and timeline and get down to work. *Please note this service is not offered from our Calgary region.
ONLINE IKEA KITCHEN PLANNING
We love meeting your kitchens in person. However, sometimes that simply isn’t possible. Whether you are planning a new kitchen in your remote lake house or in that winter chalet in the Rockies, we are here for you. Remotely. When in-home planning isn’t an option, we are ready to tackle your project with you via video conference.

IKEA has a fantastic bathroom furniture selection. Over the decades we have planned and installed thousands of bathrooms. We can do this also using the kitchen cabinets, please inquire.

Sleep area is meant to be a relaxing, uncluttered space. Well-organized bedroom storage will bring you a peace of mind, so that your mind can get slow down and get the proper rest.

Visit your IKEA store in person or online. If possible, try to see them in person, as there is a huge selection of storage options, especially in PAX storage options. Take a look at the door styles, sliding vs hinged doors, lighting options, pullout selection, and then give us a call and we will make it all work aesthetically and functionally.
