This lovely open plan house lies nestled on a hillside by the water. For this reason, it was imperative for the kitchen to be in perfect harmony with both the landscape and the living area. This was accomplished by incorporating a large window above the sink that provides a stunning view of a piece of natural rock and mimics a painting. We used floor-to-ceiling cabinets with glossy gray fronts to hide the pantry, washer and dryer. We decided to trim the cabinetry in a honey brown wood finish to match the wooden tones used in the rest of the house. The generous island makes a seamless transition between the kitchen and living area and features a wood post.
